Knitted Cups

Here’s a really fun design idea and a creative way to impress your guests.

Knitted China is not all that hard to do. You could even make some yourself, with a little bit of practice. However, once it’s done, you may be a little reluctant to serve coffee in them. So we suggest tea. Heck, boiled water will do.

All in all, they look great. Not that practical though.

Created by Dutch designer Madieke Fleuren.

Hand Painted Plate Setting

Not used to seeing tableware on this site? Well just look at the pretty trees painted on the cups, the shape they get when in line with the other plates and you’ll figure out the importance of design in all this. Almost too simple.

If you like this and plan on purchasing a hand-painted place setting (for six), know that you have to order it with a few days in advance, so you could allow some time for the painting.

Special Drinks Come in Special Packages

These uncommon cups of tea only prove that design is more and more a part of our lives with each passing day.

The first one is called ‘Chismosa’ and is thought and created by Juanico and in the second picture we can observe ‘Sexy Legs’ by Undergrowth. They both have an unexpected look, but than again the future of design is all about creating surprising and unexpected things.

So whether you imagine you pull someone’s ear or firmly grab a lady’s …cool heels, enjoy drinking from these!
