Inconversation – A Series, from Singaporeans designers Brian Law and Tan Sixiu include a modern floor lounger and an elegant low table.

The design is intriguing and I truly wonder who would not like this kind of furniture set in their own living room.

That’s the Fletcher Capstan Table, a unique table as the its designer describes it. Obviously we should agree here, because I didn’t see such a table before.

“It is a round table which, when rotated at its outer perimeter, amazingly doubles its seating capacity and, just as astonishingly, remains truly circular. Very importantly it stores its expansion leaves within itself.”

The table can be rotated 30 degrees using the human power or an electric motor. When rotated backwards, the table reduces its seating capacity. I must say it’s revolutionary and you love it too, I am quite sure. But… and here is the “but”, its price doesn’t make me happier. The average price ranges between £25,000 and £35,000 ($49,700 and $69,600). I am sad now…

Remember Tetris? The challenging game where you’re supposed to mix pieces of different shapes together?

This is a table designed with Tetris in mind. Although not made by placing together the variety of forms that we know, but rather a lot of tiny crosses, the idea is fun.

This is from designer Jonas Samson and we are not sure about the price or its release on the market.

It’s a really good idea for young achievers that can’t yet own a big mansion, with in-house pool tables and such. The greatest thing about this design idea is obviously that it saves place. But it does that in a smart, original way. Also very fun.

Made completely out of wood, this interactive table is not only very nice to look at but also environmental friendly.

An interesting thing is that although it makes all those pretty lights, it’s very cheap to have around, because it consumes very little energy, even less than an usual light-bulb.

The lights are only activated when something moves on the surface of the table, but no worries, they tinkle at a slow pace the rest of the time anyway.

The beautiful coffee table is “prepared” with Corian base and its glass has a very futurist print. It was made by Dupont and it could be bought from London, from Vonhideki shop. But its price is not so accessible for everyone: £2,500. But I think that it deserves.

This piece is not so easy to imitate; only few big companies can reproduce it. Its style is so “new”, as you may think that it comes from another world.
