Can You Make Out The Shapes?

This design belongs to Vicente Garcia Jiménez and is inspired by the designer’s home lands of Mancha, Spain. The wall sculpture is not randomly named “Fields”, as the shapes, lighting and shades tried to suggests exactly that: open fields filled with soft mixed colors.

The materials used built this lovely lighting designs are methacrylate and aluminium.

“Fields”was created for Foscarini. You can visit the site and admire other similar products.

Alien Lamps

It’s like having a lot of tiny Caspers (the cartoon ghost?)  in your house. Some people may even enjoy that.

“Alien” is an out-of-this-world-looking lamp created by design studio Büro für Form and manufactured by Next.

Designers inform us that there are two different sizes and four variations available so you have where to choose from.

Gravity Light

Gravity Light is actually a thin metal plate that is hung in the air.

The metal plate is affected by gravity in a way that is ideal for emitting a gentle light.

The amount of light can vary by using different sized metal plates or by curving them in another direction.

“Wireless” Oil Lamp

Although its exterior design is not all that unusual, the “Cordless Moment Oil Lamp”  is made of bone china, and the semi-transparent material lets out a low light.

One strong point: it doesn’t need electricity. One weakness: it’s always on, which can sometimes be annoying.
