Thumbs Up!

memory_020309_03

“The Memory Armchair” was designed by Ole Jensen. Here are some of the Ole’s thoughts on his creation: “I wanted to design furniture that arouses immediate recognition in both design and use. ‘Reversed perfection’, with an immediate freedom in manufacture and details. The chair consists of patches as in a patchwork quilt, which gives them a somewhat home-made character, without allowing this to compromise their quality”.

We find it to be an interesting looking piece of furniture and also a pretty cheerful one, as it looks like a friendly stone with two thumbs up.

The Ghost Chair

A very original chair design from Drift.

The Ghost chair is built entirely out of Plexiglas. The design consists of a white, phantomatic interior stuck inside a see-through exterior.

We are looking forward to new Ghost designs such as ghost tables, ghost beds, ghost floors and so on.

Christmas Tree Furniture

A really nice idea from designer Manuela Michalski.

A group of storage “boxes” that you can move around like lego pieces, to create new and interesting shapes.

And since Christmas time is near,  have fun putting together a tall and handsome Christmas tree.

Paul+Paula Hugging Chairs

Paul+Paula are two lovely green chairs that can be fit together once all the guest leave the premises, occupying less space than they would as “single” chairs.

Be careful, though! The idea behind this design is quite nice, you might end up obsessing about keeping them together at all times.

Created by German designer Britta.

Futuristic Twisted Sofa and Daybed

The modern Twisted Sofa from Nea Studio is said to be very comfortable, although its appearance probably suggests differently. Its fabrics were chosen carefully after much testing.

With a dramatic and modern look, this sofa is bound to capture attention.

Fashionable Drawer System

This is from Czech designer Jaroslav Jurica.

Although this is meant to be a storage design that combines the new and the old, the modern with the antique, i feel it’s too much of a reminder of high school libraries to be embraced unconditionally by everybody.

However, it is very practical.

Chocolaty Looking Shelves

If you’re one to not get enough of chocolate, here’s a thought: get some chocolate shelves.

Unfortunately they are made of wood, so no wild tasting sensations for you! However, the shelves do look nice and are also quite practical.
