We found some original lighting designs here, some of which could be a nice addition to any interior. The motives are mostly nature-inspired, but you can find a lot of similar lamps/chandeliers on the designer’s site. The prices vary from GBP190 to GBP250.

Apparently these chandeliers were presented recently at Salon Maison & Objet outside of Paris.

Although these grand light effects dazzled the viewers, there seems to be an earlier version of this particular chandelier design which dates from 2005.

Lamp Made out of Latex Gloves

This is one for the do-it-your-self section. What you see in the picture below is a bunch of inflated latex gloves with several light-bulbs inside.

Made by Katarina Britse at Beckman’s College of Design, this chandelier is something relatively easy to do in the comfort of your own house, considering you have a thing for surgical gloves and a system to keep them inflated all the time.

Milky Way Outdoor Chandelier

Apparently a normal light source, the Milky Way Chandelier is made out of 14 empty milk gallons (washed), 1 hula hoop (cover removed), 1 set of 5 watt holiday lights, 28 screws, 4 eyelets, 1 clothesline, as explained here.

The view from beneath is particularly interesting and it confirms that the chandelier is not only ingenious, but also good looking.

Yes, it is wonderful what you can do with some glass, a few incandescent bulbs, a bucket and a bunch of misfit cans.

This weird and yet fascinating looking chandelier is created by Warren Muller and it is indeed a piece of art. Moreover, its design is adapted to our times, when “recycling” is the buzz-word circling worldwide.

The Symphony chandelier is so colorful and multifaceted that it can give the impression of a small Christmas tree. It’s fun, creative and environmental friendly. And you can see things better when you’re around it. What more could you ask for?
