All about pink and green
The new black & white. These two colors are very, very used in modern decorations, partly because they’re so bright, and they catch your attention, and probably it has to do with fashion too. One of the reasons these colors match must be because the trend today is contrast, and we all know that red and green are complementaries, so pink and bright green are too. Another reason can be found in nature, especially in flowers. I think I don’t have to explain neither of them, we all know we can find all the green we like, and pink is very easy to find as well.
Let’s see some examples of how pink and green can be mixed.
One of the options is evenly (red and green complement each other in a 50:50 proportion). We can start off with a pink room and decorating with green accents and pieces of furniture in such way that the whole room seems evenly divided between the two colors. Rugs, shelves, curtains, chairs, objects, all of them can be found in the desired shade of green to complete the contrast.
This next room is decorated in a less contrasted way due to the more subtle accents of green. Although pink is predominant, the pink in the curtains and bed sheets gives the whole room a more mysterious and dark look. One thing to remember is that if you want one of the colors to be predominant, keep it light, so that the other one can show itself too, in a similar proportion.
Here we have what it seems to be a classical “pink princess palace”. WRONG! If you look closely you can see the subtle green accent, hidden in the bedroom objects and patterns. This breaks the average pink girly look of the room without giving it a brutal, tasteless aspect. I think it’s perfect for your teenage daughter, she’ll feel like a princess in it.
In this example, there is a contrast even on the wall. Half, or one third of it is green, and the rest is white. I would do the top part in very light pink to be on topic, and leave the bright pink headboard of the bed to contrast with the green. It’s just amazing and think of how your child would feel like in this room. As a matter of fact, imagine how YOU would feel in this room!
We can’t exclude other bright colors with the combination. As you can see, besides decorating a whole room, pink and green can also spice up the atmosphere in various color rooms. Mixing them with blue, orange, purple and yellow is a good idea for decorating a “unisex” child bedroom. Adding different colors to repeating shapes also gives an exciting, dynamic look to the room and furniture.
This is a great example of spicing up a neutral colored room, like this one, with white furniture. The new green paint job and the pink chair can do wonders to a room, that initially looks like a hospital hall. A few in-theme object, some bed sheets, perhaps a new pink rug can add a little more, for less money than changing the entire furniture.

Thanks everyone for your great ideas, can you please focus a little bit more in teenagers thank you very much.
like the ideas but what about trying pink and blue, it is tough but can you do it???
Love it
