This lamp has won the Design Plus award, Frankfurt 2006. It might look regular to you, but it is not. Priced at $590, the Mix Task Lamp uses LED chip-on-board technology that gives the user the ability to adjust the color of the light from warm to cool by sliding a screen located on the underside of the head. Its energy consumption has just approached 5 watts.

The eco-friendly lamp delivers around 50,000 hours of pleasing light. An interesting fact I read about it: when you switched it off, the lamp head is illuminated with a blue light, making it easy to find in the dark. Also the stem is flexible so its users can direct the light where needed.
