VEIL Solar Shades

May 13th, 2008 | by Lavinia | 333 Views

Created by Australian design firm Büro North in partnership with the Victorian Eco-Innovation Lab, the VEIL Solar Shades transfers sunlight into energy.

It also has an amazing design, reminding us of a leaf stretching towards the sun.

Although the project is meant for school yards, where they can provide shade for the kids, there’s no telling what this amazing creation may become or how widely it will spread - perhaps in the decades to come it will even be a part of our own gardens.

These are fantastic! They do remind me of rearing cobra heads, as in Buddha’s story. Thanks for sharing. :)
