The Next Generation House, Not So Homey

Next Generation House is a concept thought of and created by Sou Fujimoto Architects. It was inspired by the Japanese mind game Jenga that involves tower building.

What you see in the pictures is a 13′x13′x13′ cube made out of cedar logs. This is also the reason why it strongly considered not to be eco-friendly.

However, due to its structure, the building allows you to be very creative when it comes to sleeping, eating and storing your stuff.

You have to admit the place doesn’t really inspire comfort, but since it is especially designed for a weekend out, maybe it will be happily embraced by some people.

The first thing I thought of when I saw it was, what a lot of sharp corners to bash your head on!
