Blackboard Wallpaper

If you feel your creativity is overwhelming and need more space and resources to express yourself, this sort of idea may suit you.

Having a blackboard wallpaper may turn out to be quite fun. You can leave message for your friends to see when they return home, doodle and play all sort of games that you would normally need paper for.

LOVE this idea! Other places to paint:
A garage wall (especially if there are any smaller walls, such as near a door. Keep a bucket of chalk nearby and it’s very useful for jotting down quick reminders, or “to buy” items that you need. It’s also great for the kids during the summer or even on rainy days! They can still be in the garage but can write or draw on the “chalkboard”.)

Paint a large rectangle on the wall in any room (great for family rooms or kitchens, especially) with chalkboard paint, then a couple of smaller squares or rectangles. They can be equal size or different. Then frame each one with pieces of edging found at your local hardware store. It gives a unified appearance, almost like a wall of picture frames (this also works great with regular paint and one LARGE rectangle, then place matching or nearly-matching frames inside with similar sized photos.)

Instead of buying a new kitchen table, look for a solidly built one at a garage sale or second-hand store, sand the top to smooth out any rough surfaces and paint the tabletop with chalkboard paint.

If you have any soffets or airducts that are visible (or areas where there is recessed lighting, such as a kitchen, paint just sides or inside edges with chalkboard paint and write quotes that go with that room (like food or cooking quotes in a kitchen, etc.)

They also now sell what is called Chalkboard Markers. They’re basically liquid chalk that dries and then erases like chalk does. But they come in a wide variety of color and give you more control over writing/lettering or more detailed designs. They write like paint pens, but are chalk instead. Often times, coffee shops or small cafe’s will use this on their daily menu boards.

Just a few more fun ideas!
