If you like this and plan on purchasing a hand-painted place setting (for six), know that you have to order it with a few days in advance, so you could allow some time for the painting.

illusion.jpgtavolino.jpg
Although “Illusion” looks very much like a giant tray, it may be used as a regular coffee table, but also as a furniture-fashion object.

The “product” was created in order to draw attention and to monitor the resources (water, food) that the owners are consuming.

Sheet-metal packaging, a smart oven that needs less energy to work, a dishwasher that filters water are some of the main attributes that make this kitchen so special.

All in all, this is an amazing invention that really clears up the path for a sustainable way of life. Many more!

The TakeOff Table

Because we are only human, it’s in our nature to get bored. This applies to basically everything, and is especially true when considering your furniture.

The TakeOff Table was designed to reduce your level of boredom. It has five different sheets of color which you can change at your own will. It’s witty and practical and the grafic patterns don’t look too bad either.

A perfect solution for a new kitchen every day. You may also be interested to read about the Sparkling Interactive Table.

The food washer

At first we did the dishes and washed our clothes manually. Then along came the washing machine. Shortly after, the dishwasher made its appearance on the market, so we do the cleaning without the mess. food washerIt also saved us time. Now, the only thing we wash manually are the fruits, vegetables and other things we eat to clean them from bacteria before we eat or prepare them. Or do we? It seems that they came up with an automated solution for this one as well. The Clean Cuisine product washing machine is made to handle this task with the recently developed Activated Oxygen technology to rid your food of bacteria, germs, pesticides and so on. The result is a clean, disinfected, safe-to-consume product, to protect you from all the food poison related illnesses that record a few million cases every year, curable, but undesired nonetheless. Maybe this information will make the price of almost $200 more accepted.

Painting kitchen cabinets

Given the working circumstances in kitchens it is nearly impossible not to get messy now and then. Sometimes, this “messy” turns out to be just the thing to leave our kitchen furniture marked forever. Well, maybe not forever. If you have (once) white kitchen furniture like I do, and it is getting kind of yellowish from steam and brownish from stains, but can’t afford replacing it, just calm down, you can paint them. Many people think that if a cabinet has some kind of decoration, than painting is not recommended. WRONG! A flat cabinet would look horrible after painting, just like flat doors, due to the large texture less surface. However, if the cabinet has a little decoration, a raised border the texture is replaced.

You never know what is exposed, paint both inside and outside, both sides of the doors (it is recommended to remove the doors and drawers before you start the whole operation). Don’t forget about the drawers, of course, all sides (the bottom and back sides are optional). Let it dry, remount and see what you get. Keep the remaining paint, it will be good for future repairs, and it is advisable to buy a Magic Eraser, in case you screw up during the operation.

Faucet vs. Fountain

Faucet fountainFaucet Fountain 2

Well, not exactly “vs.” but a two-in-one. More precisely it’s a faucet that can be used as a drinking fountain. You must have seen children too lazy to get a glass to pour water in, so instead they just stick their heads right under the faucet and dig in. This gesture can now be eliminated with this this drinking fountain attachment. Just mount it on your faucet end and use as usual. If you want a drink, just hold the cap closed and water blanches out of the hole on the top of the attachment. It’s pretty handy and easy to use, but I would watch out for water pressure. It’s very easy to obtain a puddle in the middle of your kitchen. And the cap might get in your way when trying to wash the dishes. Otherwise, it’s a neat idea.
