Thumbs Up!

memory_020309_03

“The Memory Armchair” was designed by Ole Jensen. Here are some of the Ole’s thoughts on his creation: “I wanted to design furniture that arouses immediate recognition in both design and use. ‘Reversed perfection’, with an immediate freedom in manufacture and details. The chair consists of patches as in a patchwork quilt, which gives them a somewhat home-made character, without allowing this to compromise their quality”.

We find it to be an interesting looking piece of furniture and also a pretty cheerful one, as it looks like a friendly stone with two thumbs up.

Carry Your Books Wherever You Go

casa4

Desiged by  Livio De Marchi, what you see in the pictures  is a house not built with your everyday construction materials, but with wood. Paper, to be more exact. Neah, still wood (got a little carried away with an idea we found here, about how life would be living in a house completely made out of books).

You can visit Livio de Marchi Virtual Museum for some more fascinating wood designs.
