Don’t let the title scare you, we are talking about healthy, beautiful, green walls here.

Easy to maintain, this indoor planter system is frequently used in the luxurious apartments in Paris and the fancy restaurants in Italy.

The Igloo Bookcase

The idea belongs to a Tokyo-based design company and was applied into an apartment.

Ingloo Bookcase

The igloo shaped bookcase looks quite interesting. It is comfortable and cozy. I would love to have such a bed/bookcase in my room.

Phone Gadgets: Pico Projector

overview_main.jpg

If you feel that all that TV and Internet on your phone is getting annoying because of the incredibly small screen, I have a good news for you :problem solved.

rec_room.jpg

Pico Projector is actually a ultra miniature display engine that is able to create large viewing from a small phone screen. At home, in the park, on your neighbor’s back, you can watch anything you want just by using a really small device attached to your mobile.

As you see, the results are incredible.

“Bedtime Stories”

bedtimestories2.jpg

This is an amazing idea that can be further developed. Just think about it : if you’re a writer, you can paint your walls and even make sheets with some of your favorite work. If you’re a photographer, nothing can stop you from printing your best pictures and attach them to your room in a very innovative way.

The blanket in the pictures is designed by Tiago da Fonseca and is made out of several sheets, each of them imprinted with paragraphs from a well-known bedtime story.

I believe ironing is a drag, though.

Hot Ideas: The Elastic Bookshelf

Although, this is just a design project, I find it quite interesting. The idea belongs to Italian designer Arianna Vivenzio among other cool projects.

Elastic bookshelf

The Elastic Bookshelf lets you use your imagination. It consists in two pegs and an elastic strap. You can fit inside the Elastic Bookshelf drawers, book containers and of course books. Using the right colors you can create a nice design on your wall. Unfortunately, this bookshelf won’t be found too soon in store, but if you consider yourself a good handicraftsman  you might give a try to built one.

Corner Picture Frames

corner-frames.jpg

This is one of those inventions that seems to have been on your mind forever. Lucky for you someone had the initiative to actually make these.

The Corner Picture Frames are a good idea especially if you think of that unoccupied space that you can now fill. They have inner frame and outer frame versions and may come in different (customized) sizes. The only problem seems to be the price (€198,00 and €224,00), a little too expensive for a picture frame, even one used for “upgrading” corners.

Hand Painted Plate Setting

il_430xn15775808.jpg

Not used to seeing tableware on this site? Well just look at the pretty trees painted on the cups, the shape they get when in line with the other plates and you’ll figure out the importance of design in all this. Almost too simple.

il_430xn15775836.jpg

il_430xn15776761.jpg

If you like this and plan on purchasing a hand-painted place setting (for six), know that you have to order it with a few days in advance, so you could allow some time for the painting.

Price :25$
